신을 사랑하는 방법

How To Love God 

가장 현실적인 방법으로 신을 사랑하는 것은 우리의 동료 이웃을 사랑하는 것이다.

우리가 사랑하는 사람들에게 연민을 느끼듯 다른 이들에게도 연민을 느낀다면, 신을 사랑하는 것이다.

To love God in the most practical way is to love our fellow beings.

If we feel for others in the same way as we feel for our own dear ones, we love God.

우리가 다른 이에게서 결점을 찾는 대신 자신 안에서 결점을 찾는다면, 신을 사랑하는 것이다.

If, instead of seeing faults in others, we look within ourselves, we are loving God.

우리가 자신을 돕기 위해 다른 이에게서 훔치는 대신 다른 이들을 돕기 위해 자신에게서 훔친다면, 신을 사랑하는 것이다.

If, instead of robbing others to help ourselves, we rob ourselves to help others, we are loving God.

우리가 다른 이의 고통 안에서 고통받고 다른 이의 행복 안에서 행복하다면, 신을 사랑하는 것이다.

If we suffer in the sufferings of others and feel happy in the happiness of others, we are loving God.

우리가 자신의 불행에 대해 걱정하는 대신 자신이 수많은 다른 이보다 행운아라고 생각한다면, 신을 사랑하는 것이다.

If, instead of worrying over our own misfortunes, we think ourselves more fortunate than many many others, we are loving God.

우리가 인내와 만족으로 자신의 운명을 견디고 그것을 신의 뜻으로 받아들인다면, 신을 사랑하는 것이다.

If we endure our lot with patience and contentment, accepting it as His Will, we are loving God.

신에 대한 숭배와 위대한 헌신의 행위는 그 분의 어떤 존재도 상처주거나 해치지 않는 것임을 이해하고 느낄 때, 신을 사랑하는 것이다.

If we understand and feel that the greatest act of devotion and worship to God is not to hurt or harm any of His beings,we are loving God.

마땅히 사랑해야 할 만큼 신을 사랑하기 위해, 

우리 삶의 목적은 신을 사랑하고 우리의 자아 안에서 신을 찾는 것임을 알고, 우리는 신을 위해 살고 신을 위해 죽어야 한다.

To love God as He ought to be loved, we must live for God and die for God,

knowing that the goal of life is to Love God, and find Him as our own self.
